May jGrrl is Heather Joy, a simple JOY to work with.  She is a true pro in every sense of the word.  I want send this simple love letter out to a truly great performer.  You know me, I only work with the best of the best and only play with the best.  AND you know that I love sexy grrls with sick fucking thoughts!  Well, Heather was all that and more.  We met a few months ago and have been have much fun creating art.

She loves to create, has a great imagination, is a smart ass, laughs at my lame jokes and has a pair of super sexy legs!  AND what’s between them is magic!  Ouch!  That sounded creepy, but she does that to me.  From the first shoot to the last she brings JOY to everything we do.  Also, she brings the passion to make great art.  A lot of grrls don’t understand the fact that I am only as good as what they give me.  But, she got it from day one.

I’ll stop with the gushing.  She knows I’m just kissing her ass because she knows I want more!  Heather – thank you grrl for everything you bring me and give to our Juliland Universe.  We know there is more to come.  Be ready!

With the mass amount of adult content overflowing on the internet today, it really came as no surprise when the .XXX domain gave its well-awaited birth in 2011.  While I’m sure the news of this singular, pornographic realm are neither new nor surprising, I think it’s still incredibly important to discuss the ways in which the adult industry has affected specific groups such as the American Family Association (AFA) or the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).

Quite obviously, the .XXX domain gives pornographers more to work with, and undoubtedly, it confirms the fact that the adult industry has a permanent residence in the world and on the web.  But as the formation of this new domain came to its final culmination, critics and supporters alike agreed that it would aid the government in monitoring the industry and our personal search engines as well.  The change from .com to .xxx would also imply that that already established sites such as Playboy would have to be rechristened to Playboy.xxx.

Now a year past its grand opening, .XXX is still causing great concern and debate between the AFA, ICANN, ICM Registry (which policies the domain), and even the art world.  In fact, a relationship was built among the madness between Richard Alford, Managing Director of M&C Saatchi, and Stuart Lawley, CEO at .XXX.  The final creation between the two manifested itself into an overly suggestive campaign that has also caused mixed reactions from both the art and adult community.  Some say it’s  light-hearted and cheeky, while others claim that it’s a literal objectification of women as objects.  But with all media and artistic content, I ask you all to form your own opinion and share them with the Juliland community. Heather Joy, both a Los Angeles and Brooklyn native, describes herself as “a literary elitist, self defeatist, erratic, problematic and a terrible rhymer.”  But here in the Juliland Universe, we see her as a petite charmer with very interesting and unique perspectives on life and the adult industry.  While she’s quite obviously an adult star, she feels that the word ‘porn star’ is not longer applicable.  She explains, “Porn stars don’t exist anymore…I think instead they’re just girls that get fucked on camera.  And if I had to chose my favorite part about my job it’s probably being underpaid and having all your content pirated.”  There’s no doubt that Heather is a satirical virtuoso.  In fact, she quotes Billy Bob Thorton when describing the difference between sex, making love, and fucking: “I’ve boned a lot of chicks in my time, sure. One of our funniest grrls in the Universe, Heather Joy hilariously discusses kissing, masturbation, and sex.  “Believe it or not, I prefer receiving rather than giving, perhaps because I’m lazy.  I’m also not that big of a fan kissing because I feel that spit should be saved to use in more exciting places like my vagina.”

The humor ensues when Heather cracks jokes about what ‘sexiness’ means to her.  She tells us that sexiness is all about “manners, intelligence, grammar, blue eyes, black hair, and train wrecks.”  But when it come to herself she says the following, “I’m not sexy ever.  In fact, I’m the awkward girl from Brooklyn no one wanted to sit with at the lunch table.”  The irony here is that there are probably thousands of people, both men and women alike, who would love to sit and have lunch with Heather Joy.
